Dr. Lapwing Bio

After graduating from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin (AOMA), I left my profession as a Personal Trainer and opened my own practice with my own style and attitude. I am passionate about and believe deeply in this medicine and what it can do. I provide exceptional care in a serene environment.

As stated above, my philosophy about this medicine is the belief that Oriental Medicine and my practice of it, should be done with compassion, empathy, and genuineness for my patients. I believe in the integration of Eastern and Western medicine. I incorporate Oriental Medicine into the biomedical aspect of healthcare. I believe this will bring a more balanced, holistic, and comprehensive approach to my patient’s overall well-being by working to improve and increase their personal quality of life and health.

I use various therapies within the scope of Oriental Medicine.  I implement such treatment modalities as, acupuncture, Chinese herbology, body work, cupping, moxa, gua sha, reiki, exercise, stretching, and nutritional advice as required within the course of the treatment.  I am licensed in Texas and Florida, currently practicing in Austin, Texas. I’m also an NCCAOM Diplomate in Oriental Medicine.

I'm passionate about what I do and enjoy developing treatments for the varying conditions of all different types of people and ages. I always love a challenge when it comes to rare health conditions! I specialize in Men’s Health, Pain Management, Auto-immune Diseases and Stress Management.
